CP AXTRA Launches “ศูนย์เรียนรู้เกษตรบ้านโนนเขวา” Empowering Thai Farmers Through Knowledge Sharing, Market Connectivity,  and Sustainable Agricultural Development

• CP AXTRA, together with the “บ้านโนนเขวา” Horticultural Farmers Group, has established “ศูนย์เรียนรู้เกษตรบ้านโนนเขวา”.
• The center serves as a sustainable agriculture learning hub based on the “Market-Led Production” approach, enabling farmers to align production with market demand.
• The collaboration aims to strengthen Thai agriculture by enhancing farmers' capabilities and expanding access to modern markets nationwide.

Bangkok, 6 August 2026 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, the operator of Makro and Lotus’s, led by Mrs. Siriporn Dechsingha, Chief Corporate Sustainability and Communication Officer, together Mr.Aphisit Chumyangsim Chairman of “บ้านโนนเขวา” Horticultural Farming Group, officially launched “ศูนย์เรียนรู้เกษตรบ้านโนนเขวา” (Ban Non Khwao Agricultural Learning Center). The initiative is designed to strengthen Thailand's agricultural sector by enhancing farmers' capabilities, improving livelihoods, and promoting sustainable income opportunities. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr.Yutthana Photivihok Vice governor of Khon Kaen Province , and attended by Mr.Kamol Pongprayoon Director and Secretary to the Business Matching Committee The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, along with representatives from government agencies, Ms.Chantida Kalampakorn Director of market system promotion and administration division,  private-sector organizations, partner networks, and local farming communities at the Ban Non Khwao Agricultural Learning Center in Khon Kaen Province.

Established as a center of excellence for sustainable agriculture, “ศูนย์เรียนรู้เกษตรบ้านโนนเขวา” is built upon the “Market-Led Production” principle, enabling farmers to plan agricultural production based on actual market demand. The approach helps align crop varieties, production volumes, quality standards, and harvesting schedules with market requirements, while strengthening post-harvest handling and packaging processes to meet modern trade standards and connect farmers directly with modern retail channels.

The learning center offers hands-on knowledge transfer led by successful model farmers and industry experts with real-world experience. Training covers farmer group formation and management, production planning, cost calculation, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards, grading and packaging, traceability systems, logistics management, and preparing products for presentation to Makro and Lotus’s buyers. Participants also gain practical experience through demonstration farms, packing facilities, and study visits to Makro and Lotus’s stores, providing a comprehensive understanding of the agricultural value chain—from production to retail—and practical insights that can be directly applied within their own communities.

This collaboration reinforces CP AXTRA commitment to supporting Thai farmers beyond simply providing market access. It encompasses capacity building, quality standard enhancement, infrastructure development, market linkage, and the establishment of long-term systems that enable farming communities to become self-reliant. At the same time, it helps strengthen a resilient, high-quality agricultural supply chain while fostering sustainable economic growth at the grassroots level, reflecting CP AXTRA's commitment to creating shared value for farmers, communities, and Thailand's agricultural sector.
