Bangkok, 29 May 2026 – To promote global food safety awareness, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, operator of the wholesale and retail businesses “Makro–Lotus’s,” in collaboration with the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), launched a campaign under the theme “From Burden to Solutions – Safe Food Everywhere” to promote awareness of food safety and reinforce consumer confidence in accessing safe food products nationwide.
As part of the campaign, Makro and Lotus’s branches nationwide have introduced dedicated zones for safe agricultural and food products, covering Q-certified products — agricultural and food products certified by Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives — as well as organic products. The company also continues to implement strict food safety management throughout the entire supply chain, from production, sourcing, transportation, and storage to distribution and retail operations, reflecting the importance of quality control at every stage before products reach consumers.
In addition, CP AXTRA continues to enhance food safety standards through ongoing collaboration with government agencies and related organizations by organizing training programs and knowledge development initiatives on food standards for entrepreneurs and employees. The company has also implemented the i-Trace (Traceability System) to improve transparency and strengthen consumer confidence. The system enables full traceability back to the source of origin, including farms, cultivation areas, and production facilities, as well as product selection and distribution processes throughout each stage of the supply chain. This systematic traceability process helps ensure that consumers can verify product origins and be confident that the food they receive has been carefully monitored and inspected according to safety standards at every step before reaching their hands.
