Chiang Mai, August 29, 2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited has teamed up with government agencies to deliver urgent aid to people affected by flooding and landslides in Chiang Mai’s Mae Chaem district after Typhoon Kajiki.
The disaster struck Ban Pang Ung village in Mae Suek subdistrict, destroying homes and farmland and forcing many families to evacuate. Local authorities have set up a shelter at Ban Pang Ung School and established a central kitchen to supply hot meals to displaced villagers.
To support the effort, Makro and Lotus’s employees from the Chom Thong branch delivered truckloads of essential goods including rice, cooking ingredients, condiments, eggs and bottled water under the company’s “CP AXTRA Threads of Goodness” volunteer initiative.
Company executives said the aid highlights CP AXTRA’s commitment to both responsible business and social support. They stressed that cooperation between government, the private sector and communities is key to helping affected areas recover quickly and sustainably.
