Bangkok, 25 June
2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, an operator of Asia’s leading
wholesaler and retailer “Makro - Lotus’s”, is accelerating its transition to clean transportation
through a partnership with Rêver Commercial Vehicles Co., Ltd., the sole
distributor and after-sales service provider of BYD electric vehicles in
Thailand. Under this collaboration, CP AXTRA plans to roll out up to 300
electric vans by 2025 to support its Last Mile Delivery services from Makro and
Lotus's to consumer nationwide. This move makes CP AXTRA the first wholesale
and retail operator in Thailand to adopt an EV fleet of this scale for
logistics operations. The EV fleet offers several standout features: zero
emissions, quiet operation, higher cargo capacity, and stable temperature
control to help preserve product freshness during delivery. This transition is
expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 300 tons annually, reinforcing CP AXTRA's
commitment to service excellence and its
sustainability goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Mr.
Tanit Chearavanont, Chief Executive Officer of Makro Thailand and Group Chief
Commercial Officer, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, stated, "As
online shopping continues to grow rapidly, fast and eco-friendly delivery is
becoming a vital success factor in Thailand's wholesale and retail sectors. CP
AXTRA plans to roll out over 300
electric vehicles by 2025, a move expected to reduce
carbon emissions by more than 300 tons annually, equivalent to planting
approximately 1.9 million trees. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to
sustainable business practices and our journey toward achieving Net Zero emissions
by 2050."
Mr.
Pratarnwong Phornprapha, Chief Executive Officer of the RÊVER Group, stated, "Rêver is proud to
contribute to cleaner air for all by helping reduce PM 2.5 and the carbon
footprint, while also supporting CP AXTRA's success through the delivery of over
300 T3 commercial electric vehicles for last mile deliveries. This further
highlights the reliability and versatility of electric vehicles, proving their
strong suitability for diverse applications, including commercial and business sectors."
Miss Pratarnporn Phornprapha, Vice Chief Executive Officer of the Rêver
Group, added, "We
are grateful for
CP AXTRA for placing their trust in Rêver and choosing T3 for business use. This
not only enables entrepreneurs to lower fuel and maintenance costs but also contributes
meaningfully to pollution reduction.”
This partnership aligns with the
shared commitment of both organizations to sustainable business practices
rooted in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles as they
collaborate to protect the environment and promote long-term sustainable
development.
