Bangkok, 2 May 2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, an operator of Asia’s leading wholesaler and retailer, “Makro” and “Lotus’s” has launched the “Orchard-Fresh Thai Fruits” Festival, kicking off the Season with Eastern Thai produce, to support Thai fruit growers and bring premium-quality produce to consumers nationwide. This year, CP Axtra is sourcing over 89 million kilograms of fresh fruits, increasing 36.9% from last year, which will be distributed through more than 2,600 Makro and Lotus’s stores across Thailand. All fruits are sourced from certified standard orchards with strict quality control processes in place to ensure freshness and safety from farm to consumer. The produce is certified by relevant agencies, including GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), providing consumers with the assurance of fresh, clean, and high-quality fruits in every bite. The festival was officially inaugurated by Sub Lt. Chakra Yodmani, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, along with the Department of Internal Trade. They were welcomed by CP AXTRA executives, including Mr. Somnuk Yoddumnern, Director of Fresh Food Management, at Makro Sathorn.
The Orchard-Fresh Thai Fruits festival offers a diverse selection of fruits sourced directly from orchards across Thailand, including rambutan, mangosteen, salak, pineapple, banana, aromatic coconut, and durian, available at various stages of ripeness. Each fruit is carefully selected from certified orchards to ensure consumers enjoy the authentic taste of Thai fruits at their peak.
Don’t miss the special “All-You-Can-Eat Durian Buffet” event at participating Makro and Lotus’s stores throughout May, where durian lovers can indulge in unlimited premium Monthong durian and a variety of other Thai fruits, all for just 599 baht per person.
