Siam Makro PLC sets a target to increase purchasing of “mangoes” by 25% compared to previous year. After farmers got hit by various issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic made the fruit unable to be exported nevertheless are oversupplied in the market. This year’s forecast, Makro will be able to purchase over 3,000 tons of mangos and will be organizing “Quality Mango, Fresh from Farm Festival” to highlight diversity of the fruit as well as stimulate the consumption of Thai fruit and reinforcing Makro’s policy in being side by side with Thai farmers.
